When to use this
Use this when office staff need to create or maintain client organisations and the locations that work will be linked to.
What you need first
- The correct company details
- The correct site or location details if work needs to be tied to a place
Steps
1. Use [Create a company](create-a-company.md) when the organisation does not exist yet. 2. Add or maintain site records before linking operational work to the wrong place. 3. Keep CRM records accurate so client-facing access and reporting stay scoped correctly.
What happens next
- CRM records become the base layer for jobs, client access, and downstream operational history.
If it goes wrong
- If the wrong company or site is linked, correct the source record before more work or access is attached to it.
