Learn the hard boundaries between office modules so you do not fix access, planning, and employee problems in the wrong place.

Understand work vs scheduling vs HR vs settings

When to use this

Use this when a person, job, or access problem could belong to more than one office area and you want to avoid changing the wrong record.

What you need first

  • A clear description of what is wrong right now.

Steps

1. Use Work when you are changing the live job record, dispatch state, notes, linked records, or execution correction. 2. Use Scheduling when you are changing future intent:

3. Use HR when you are changing the employee record:

4. Use Settings when you are changing user access:

  • what day the job is planned for
  • what team should do it
  • day-only crew or asset overrides
  • employee details
  • employment state
  • certifications
  • sign-in
  • invites
  • roles
  • seats
  • account/profile access

What happens next

  • Job history stays separate from planning.
  • Employee records stay separate from user access.
  • Support and audit trails become easier to follow because each type of change sits in the correct system area.

If it goes wrong

  • If a field worker cannot sign in, do not change HR details first. Check Settings access and invites.
  • If a crew is wrong only for today, do not rewrite the employee record. Use Scheduling daily changes.
  • If the job details are wrong on the live record, do not try to fix that only through Scheduler. Open the job in Work.
