Open a job and check what needs doing

When to use this

Use this before you travel, when you arrive on site, or any time you need to confirm the current job state before taking action.

What you need first

  • The job is visible in My Work, search, nearby work, or team pool.

Steps

1. Open the job from My Work, search, nearby work, or pool. 2. Check the job number, stage, and priority first so you know you are on the right record. 3. Review the job sections for scope, safety, tasks, site details, and any other execution notes that apply. 4. Open the map if you need to confirm the site location. 5. Check the action bar at the bottom so you know whether the job is not started, en route, active, paused, or already completed.

What happens next

  • The job detail page becomes your main execution view for that job.
  • The available bottom actions change with the live job state:
  • start job
  • cancel travel
  • pause
  • resume
  • finish job
  • If the job is already completed, the execution action bar is removed.

If it goes wrong

  • If the job fails to load, return to My Work and refresh before trying again.
  • If the status at the bottom does not match what is happening on site, stop and confirm whether another person or device already changed the job state.
  • If you need turn-by-turn directions instead of the full detail page, use [Get directions to a job site](./get-directions-to-a-job-site.md).
