Start work on a job
When to use this
When you need to start travel to a job, record arrival on site, or begin on-site work.
What you need first
- You can see the job in My Work.
- Safety forms and asset pre-starts are recommended before on-site start.
Steps
1. Open the job and choose the next field action. 2. Choose one action:
3. If you choose Start Work, take before photos (recommended), then confirm. 4. Safety and pre-start items are shown as warnings in this flow (not blockers).
- Start Travel to begin travel timing.
- Arrive On Site when the crew reaches the job.
- Start Work to begin on-site work timing.
What happens next
- Travel, arrival, and on-site start are tracked separately.
- The job moves into in-progress when Start Work is confirmed.
- You can complete safety forms and pre-starts after starting, but do them as soon as possible.
If it goes wrong
- If the app says the job is already started, check if it is running on another device or was started earlier.
- If the app says the job is paused, use Resume Work (do not start a second time).
- If you started travel by mistake, use Cancel Travel before starting on-site work.
